As many of you know, we are moving to Ethereum. One reason we are moving is that we want to deliver a high-quality NFT product. We believe Ethereum is a platform that is not going anywhere and is the leader in the NFT space. Another reason is when we started all this back in March 2021 we were a new team and didn’t know what we know today. When we ran into several challenges, we didn’t know how to solve them; we weren't transparent about them. Instead, we hid in the shadows failing you guys. For so long listened to the community tell us they believe in us and that Digihats had so much potential.

I think this quote really resonates with our current situation. We can’t change the decisions we made in the past; we can only rise every time we fall. That is what we are determined to do. Moving to ETH is our way of rising. We have a brand new smart contract, new features on our website, and a team that is dedicated to rising up and making Digihats great again.
And how could we forget our Binance Smart Chain Digihat OG’s? These OG’s are a part of our Digihat family. They supported us and believed in us when we were nothing. For that reason, we are forever grateful and so blessed to have you guys!
It is for this reason, why we created The Great Digihat Sacrifice. So what is The Great Digihat Sacrifice? The Great Digihat Sacrifice is the burning of BSC Digihats to get credits to mint Digihats on Ethereum. We are compensating users 2:1 for common BSC Digihats burnt, or 10:1 for unique BSC Digihats that are burnt.
These credits will be issued to your ETH address and will allow you to mint Digihats from our website. Our smart contract checks the address that is connected to our website for credits, and if you have them, you’ll be able to mint a Digihat for free, only paying the ETH gas price. If you don’t have any credits, you will need to pay 0.044 ETH to mint a Digihat. You don’t have to use your credits right away; they have no expiration date! However, once all 8888 Digihats have been minted, any remaining credits will no longer work.
How to take part in The Great Digihat Sacrifice!
The first way (If you have MetaMask):
- Step #1) Go to https://thedigihats.com/BSC/wallet.html & connect your wallet through MetaMask (Make sure you’re on the Binance Smart Chain)
- Step #2) Input the sacrifice address, 0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dead
- Step #3) The tokenID you’d like to send. Alternatively, you can click on the tokenID from your list of tokens down below.
- Step #4) Send it! Make sure you confirm the transaction!

- Step #6) We will credit the Ethereum address you entered and you can use those credits on August 22nd at 22:22 UTC to mint a Digihat on Ethereum from our website — thedigihats.com!

- Step #2) Connect to Web3. Either through MetaMask or WalletConnet.
- Step #3) Find the 5th function, “safeTransferFrom”.
- Step #4) Type the BSC address that holds the Digihat you want to send.
- Step #5) Input the sacrifice address, 0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dead.
- Step #6) The tokenID you’d like to send.
- Step #7) Write the transaction! Make sure to Confirm the transaction.
